Woman loses both legs after boyfriend pushes her on subway tracks

A 29-year-old woman lost both her legs after she was pushed into the path of an oncoming train on the subway tracks during an argument with her boyfriend in Manhattan, New York City, on Saturday morning.

The incident took place at the Fulton street station on Chambers street in the Financial District area.

Witnesses said the girl was arguing with her boyfriend. As the argument escalated, in a fit of rage, the girl pushed the girl into the path of the train, police said.

It was then that the southbound 3 train crushed both his legs there at 10:25, amputating both of his legs.

The name of the girl and the reason for the argument are not yet clear. Suspect Christian Valdez fled the scene.

But at 9:35 p.m. He was arrested at the corner of Jay and Willoughby streets in Brooklyn. It is learned that he went there to meet a parole officer.

A woman on the track reportedly reported it to the NYPD. According to reports, NYPD officers arrived 5 minutes after the accident.

Less than an hour after the incident, an unidentified man was struck and killed by a train in Midtown.

Witnesses said the man jumped on top of the truck, but police do not believe the two incidents are related.
